This MS is reported in the NGMCP record as being copied in 1549 śuci= āṣāḍha śukla 2 bhṛguvāra. This does not quite compute (no version gives a Friday). If the date is saṃvat, it would push the date of composition back before 1492. So the date has been assumed to be śaka for the time being.
