Country paper; grey, smooth, slightly discoloured; Devanāgarī characters; handwriting medium, fair, legible and uniform; borders ruled with double black lines; red chalk used for marking important words; white pigment used for corrections, besides yellow pigment; marginal additions and corrections occasionally; foll. 1b and 45a have picture design of six-petalled stars in circles, etc. in red, yellow and dark blue pigments, with a short space in the centre for writing text in the centre, commentary above and below it.
