Age-- The ms. is not very old in appearance. The date given is Saptarṣi-Saṁvat 40.

Author-- Bhaṭṭa Jagaddhara

Subject-- a concise commentary on the Kātantra Sūtras, made for the use of beginners.

Reference-- It will be seen that like all other Kāśmīrian texts the Bālabodhinī has the additional pāda in Nāmaprakaraṇa as well as the Sandhiprakaraṇa. Various readings of the Sūtras given in this Ms. as compared with Prof. Eggeling's edition are given on p. cxxxii (sic.) of the Report for 1875-76. Quoted by Ratnakaṇṭha, a writer of the last quarter of the 17th century.
