Nepal is the custodian of the largest number of Indic manuscripts outside India. The TUCL collection was part of the Nepal-German Manuscript Preservation Project – the world’s largest microfilm collection of South Asian manuscripts (1970–2002). In collaboration with Prof. Shanker Thapa, this project aims to integrate the metadata of the manuscripts digitized at TUCL This initiative is part of the SAMHiTA project.
