This five-act play by Pūrṇasarasvatī was written to be performed at the Śiva temple in Vṛṣapurī (modern Trichur in northern Kerala). The main characters are Rājahaṃsa and Kamalinī, and Rājahaṃsa's rival for the love of Kamalinī, the elephant-chief of the Vindhya mountains.
