Murāri Miśra

Concerning intrinsic validity (svataḥ prāmāṇya), Murāri Miśra's position is intermediate: Cognition is not self-transparent, one becomes aware of it and of its validity at a later stage, but not through inference (as claimed by Kumārila), rather through a form of direct cognition which he calls anuvyavasāya.
