Vemulavada (Lembulapāṭa) was the capital of the Sapādalakṣa (Savalakkhe, ಸವಲಕ್ಖೇ) district in the Rāṣṭrakūta kingdom between the 9th and 12th centuries CE. The Savalakkhe district corresponds roughly to parts of Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts of Telangana state.

The Vemulavāda Cāḷukyas were originally from Vemulavada and had close marital relations with the Rāṣṭrakūṭa-s. Pampa’s patron Arikēsari II belonged to this line.
