The Priyadarśikā is a short play (nāṭikā) in four acts by the poet Śrīharṣadeva. It describes the love affair between Vatsaraja (Udayana) and princess Priyadarśika. The plot derives from the tale of Udayana told in the Bṛhatkathā of Guṇāḍhya. The play closely resembles Harṣa’s other play – Ratnāvalī and also borrows much from Kālidāsa’s Mālavikāgnimitram.
