Jejjaṭa's commentary on the Suśrutasa...

According to D. C. Bhattacharyya 1947, "Date and Works of Vāgbhaṭa", footnote 1, Ti. Rudrapāraśava, the editor of the 3-volume Trichur edition of the Aṣṭāṅgasaṅgraha (1913-1924) had access to a manuscript of "Jarjaṭa's" Nirantarapadī commentary on the Suśrutasaṃhitā, and cites many notes in volumes 2 and 3. Rudrapārāśava (=Uzhuttara Variyar) published his edition in Trichur at the K. K. Press of the Mangalodayam Company Ltd, Copies of all three volumes are nowadays rare. We know that Uzhuttara Variyar of Trippunittura owned a manuscript of the Nirantarapadavyākhyā (on Carakasaṃhitā), so Bhattacharyya may have confused what he saw in notes of the Trichur edition.
