Country paper; Devanāgarī characters; handwriting large and uniform. Margins ruled with double black lines. Red chalk used for emphasising key words and expressions in the lemmata. Most of the folios are worm-eaten. Marginal corrections infrequent. Foll. 1a and 98a bear additional material in the smaller hand, in the first case around the title, and in the last in the margin.
